What we collect

Nothing, on purpose. MakerCalc has no accounts and performsno server-side data collection. Every calculation runs locally in your browser — the numbers you type are never sent anywhere.

Local storage

The filament library, printer profiles, saved quotes and the current calculator draft are stored in your browser's local storage (makercalc.* keys) so they survive reloads. This data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself (JSON backup) or share a quote link, which contains that quote's values in the URL. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it permanently.

Cookies

MakerCalc sets no cookies — not for tracking, not for anything else. The only browser storage used is local storage for your own data (filaments, printers, quotes, inventory), which is strictly necessary for the app to function and never leaves your device. Because there are no non-essential cookies or trackers, no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive or GDPR — and we don't show one.

Analytics

This site uses Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool hosted in the EU. Plausible is cookie-less: it does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, does not fingerprint devices, and does not track individual visitors across sites. It counts page views and referrers in aggregate only — which is why no consent banner is required and none is shown. You can verify this in your browser's dev tools: no cookies are ever set.

Advertising

The site may display ads served by Google AdSense in the future. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies; where required, a consent banner will be shown before any such cookie is set.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy a product through one of them, we may earn a commission from the retailer — at no extra cost to you. Prices are identical whether you use our link or not, and commissions never influence the calculators' results. This disclosure is made in line with FTC guidance and EU consumer-transparency rules.

Offline use

MakerCalc installs as a PWA and caches its pages on your device so it works offline. That cache lives only in your browser and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
